Linwood Rd 5th anniversary BBQ
29th July 2010On the 2nd of July 2010, Linwood Road held a BBQ to mark the 5th Anniversary of their opening.
Invitations had been sent out, and food and drinks had been purchased.
Both the garden, and greenhouse, which are always well maintained, were filled to their capacity, with shrubs and plants, and the garden furniture, which was donated by fundraising, was looking very classy.
On the morning of our BBQ, it was raining, as it had been the previous day, however, on the evening of our event, the weather turned, and the sun was shining.
The tenants, their relatives, the staff and their relatives enjoyed the ambiance of the garden and the lovely food cooked by staff (head BBQ chef) David, and his assistants Elaine and Raymond. Two of the children, Dillon and Jordan especially enjoyed the cheese (sadly, David could not take any credit for this, as shop bought).
The relatives praised our garden and were in awe of our vegetables and fruit plants, which will provide us with tomatoes, strawberries, courgettes and potatoes.
All the planting is carried out by David and one of the tenants. The garden is then maintained by the staff team, and the tenant.
At the end of a great evening, we pondered on where the last five years had gone, and we talked of the next five years, hoping for the continuing development of the house and the tenants.
